DAV College Dehradun Law Entrance Exam 2011 Leak investigation committee Begins fact finding

UPDATE 16/11/2011: The second committee formed by the DAV PG College Principal has submitted its report yesterday. Finding no weight in teh paper leak allegations. The DAV College released the first merit list for the LLB admissions 2011. Notably the list is exactly teh same as one put on October 13 2011. The admissions start today that is 16 November 2011. A high powered committee, headed by DAV College Dehradun principal Dr. Navdeep Bhatnagar, has started yesterday, its fact finding work in the DAV College Dehradun Law Entrance Exam 2011, held on 14 August 2011, question Paper Leak.

The committee is expected to come up with its findings by 18 September 2011.

Notably, the DAV College Dehradun Law Entrance Examination held on Sunday 14 August 2011, was reported by print and electronic media, for extensive cheating during the examination, outsourcing of Question paper outside the college premises with in the examination duration, and a section of examinees reportedly receiving answers via paper scraps and mobile phones inside examination halls. The role of some college leaders is also under scanner; as they are the ones who took money from candidates prior to the exam, for providing undue assistance during the examination.

If the empowered committee finds large scale anomaly in the entrance examination held on August 14 2011, the college will have to conduct the entrance examination once again.
