DAV PG College Dehradun, DAV Road, Karanpur, Dehradun,248001, Uttarakhand, India, on October 13 declared the result of DAV College Dehradun Law/LLB Entrance Exam 2011, which was held on August 14, 2011. The college released a list of a total of 320 candidates, who are to take admission in the first year of LLB session 2011-12, from 17-20 October 2011.
But owing to Student leaders’ pressure, who put a question mark on the Paper leak fact finding committee itself, the College principal Mr. Bhasin succumbed to pressure and announced the constitution of second five member committee, in which no member will be from the DAV college Dehradun.
As of now it appears that, the admissions to the first year of LLB session 2011-12, from 17-20 October 2011, based on the first merit list of 320 candidates released on October 13 2011, WILL NOT TAKE PLACE.
Here it’s important to underline that, although the conventional media, is seeing the pressure exerted by the student Leaders’ belonging to all political parties, as a student grievance arising out of paper leak and faulty fact finding work by the first committee; another view doing rounds in the college campus is -- the fact that the student leaders’ couldn’t manage to get those candidates in the merit list from whom they have taken money for sure admission, that’s why they are putting undue pressure on the college administration.
In short, in the flexing of muscles and in the competition of who shouts louder to get his demand accepted, the genuine right of the candidates who made it to the October 13 2011 merit list is being denied. That’s why it appears logical for the successful candidates to visit the DAV College Dehradun on October 17 2011, as per the schedule mentioned in the October 13 2011 merit list, and put their representation to the college Principal.
