Uttarakhand Government defers creation of Four New Districts

In a roll back sort of, the Uttarakhand Government has deferred (can call postponed) the creation of four new districts; announced by Former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in his Independence Day speech.

The four new districts were: Ranikhet, Didihaat, Kotdwar and Yamunotri.

The Uttarakhand government has appointed a committee headed by chief secretary to study the matter further.
