Shiksha Ka Haal in our Public Schools...

Our neighbour is a guy from Uttarakhand. His son studies in class 4 in a reputed school in Delhi. English speaking is mandatory in the school.

I asked him about his well being in English. His reply was: Samajh nahi aaya?

Next I asked him about his family's Well being in pahari. His reply was: Hain, yeh kya hai? 

Next I asked him the meaning of a simple hindi word: Avakash . His reply: Nahin pata!

Now comes the greatest travesty. His school has started teaching them "German" ;-p
