A DISCLOSURE First: We have not solved the question paper. Only saw it and then tried to determine the possible cut off.

About 95 for general candidates as No. of applicants is less and three steps mains PI and physical exams to be held further.
I think cutoff will be 80-85 marks for gen...
but the paper was too easy
expected between 94-99
As the question paper was too easy and only 900-1000 people will be selected in the preliminary stage. i.e., 1 out of 12. Therfore as per my analysis, it would be surely more than 115 out of 150 marks for general category.
As the paper was quite general and easy. Also only approximately 1000 candidates of of 12000 will qualify for the main exam i.e., 1 out of 12. Therefore as per my calculation the cut-off will surely be above 115 marks for a general candidate.Remember there are only 1bout 19-20 seats for General candidate.
cut-off may be between 79-89
No i am not agree with u Mr.arvind. cutoff Will be around 80-85 for general.. paper was not easy.. it was

Well seats for general candidtes are 38 not 12,so cut of must be more than 100 marks.

are you sure that no of students who appeared in exam were 12ooo, acc to rule 1:15 are selected for main exam so in all 60 seats= 60*15=900 for main exam. cut off likely around 90-100 for general

ho sakta ha 12000 se b kam appear hue ho lekin roll no to 13551 tak ha
paper kitna b easy ho lekin
12000 mein se 6000 k marks honge 65
bache 6000 mein se 3000 k 65-75
phir 3000 mein se 1500 k 75-85
ab last 1500 mein se 1200 k 90+
ek aur baat agar hum topper ki baat karein to
Gk k 100 Qs mein -ve marking hata k b jyada se jyada 75 aa sakte ha
aur resoning mein b max 45 le sakta hai
topper ka score around 120 hona chahiye
I am from general category and getting 75 marks..what are my chances for clearing the cut - off...really nervous after going through your comments
@unknown_______Normally the result is declared two or three months after the exam. So calculate.
@Ashish______The pre competitive exams normally see candidates who are full time examinees. That is their full time job is preparing for such exams. Which actually increases the likelihood of success.
Hence, it is not possible that the cut off will be 50 percent for GEN Male. Hence it appears unlike that a person with 75 marks out of 150 can make to the Mains.

@Admin.. i am geeting 69.75 marks..and i am From sc category.. so what is my possibility to Clearing the cutoff....and what is the procedure for cutoff marks for pre exam...!!!!!

Can't say for sure 69.5 marks will be the cut off. But it will be near. 67-70 marks.
You can assume that you are making to the mains.
I think the cut-off for General candidates will be between 90 and 100. For OBC, it may be between 80 and 100. For General male candidates, only about 19-20 seats are there as the rest of 38 are reserved for women candidates. Prarthana kijiye ki sabhi ka ho jaaye. Kya no. of seats baddh sakti hain?
could you pls tell 1-me the forest ranger main exam date
2-position of ranger in job hierarchy in forest department
3-perks and allowances for forest ranger

hello everyone, i m getting 111marks in ranger exam and i belong to gen male category. So what is my chance for main exam.
bhai dekho aaisa hai tyarri karo sub cutoff to pata na kitne pe jayegi.....par lagge raho sarre
yaha par logo ke marks se lagta hai cut off 100 ke aas paas hi rahega. mine 87 :(

agar gen male ki merit 100 se upper gayi to mujhe bahut tazub hoga qki physical bhi hona he aur medically fit bhi. aur kai pahne wale candidates ne to ranger ka exam hi nahi diya. to mere hisaab se 95 se kam jani chahiye..

i get 83.75 in gen(sp) , is it possible that i m in mains?

aur cut off to Gen ki 90-95 hi jaayegi.
jyada tension mat lo kyo k physical exam mein 25 km 4 hours mein chalna ha aur physical measurement b hona ha interview b hona ha.
