You may be aware that the first counselling for Uttarakhand pre ANM and GNM entrance exam 2012, conducted by Govind Ballabh Pant agriculture and technology university, is over now.

The Counselling took place at Chikitsa Shiksa Ikai,Swasthay sewa Mahanidesyalaye,107,Chandar nagar Dehradun; and yesterday the Counseling Result according to rank for ANM was posted at the same venue  at 10 am.

The Counselling for ANM took place on August 8, 2012, according to the following criteria:

ANM Counseling date: Registration on 8-08-2012         from 8:30 am to 4 pm .

For various categories, only limited number of candidates were invited, based on their ranks:

General :     01 to 180  Rank
OBC :         01 to 40 Rank
SC  :           01 to 40 Rank
ST   :           01 to 20 Rank
PH,DPW,FF(General 01 to 05 and  DPW in SC from 01 to 05)

NOTE: A total of 173 candidates appeared in the Counselling.


Notably, the counselling for the GNM Course also took place two days earlier at the same venue the details of which are given below:

GNM Counseling date: Registration on 6-08-2012        from 8:00 am to 3 pm .

For various categories, only limited number of candidates were invited, based on their ranks:

General :              01 to 130  Rank
OBC :                   01 to 20 Rank
SC  :                     01 to 30 Rank
ST                         01 to 20 Rank
PH,DPW,FF(General 01 to 05 and  DPW in SC from 01 to 05)

NOTE: The Counselling Result for it was declared rank wise on 7-08-2012  at 10 am.

The Candidates were invited to the counselling venue with the the following documents:

Original documents , mentioned below, with the one set of photo copy of these documents.

1. High School Mark sheet and certificate.
2. Intermediate Mark sheet and certificate.
3. Admit card of ANM /GNM entrance exam
4. Domosile of uttarakhand
5. Caste certificate (If Required)
  Candidate also come at counseling venue with two passport size photo.

Counseling Fee: Counseling fee for ANM /GNM is  Rs. 200 and  candidate will submit the Rs. 2000/- Draft in favor of "Mahanidesak Chikitsa,Syasthay and Pariwar kalyaan Vibhag, Uttarakhand"   after opted the seat in counseling.


The Time period the Entire Process took:

Date of Exam: July 15, 2012

Date of Result: July 22, 2012

GNM Counselling: August 06, 2012

GNM Counselling Result: August 07, 2012

ANM Counselling: August 08, 2012

ANM Counselling Result: August 09, 2012

Thus right from appearing for the examination, the entire admission process took less than a month.


What is the Latest News Regarding Uttarakhand pre ANM and GNM entrance exam 2012:

In the ANM Course, out of the total 165 seats, only 138 could be filled in the First Counselling Session.

But, all the seats for General Category in Government colleges have been filled.

12 Seats for reserved category and 1 seat for Physically Handicapped category are still to be FILLED.

For those who are willing to take seats in Private colleges, there is still some hope:

14 out of 15 seats at Pal Nursing College Haldwani are still to be filled.
