A three day Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly session in Gairsain is a good move. But in order to touch the lives of Hill People better, the Government should also conduct Public Courts or "Junta Dubars" , attended by Ministers, MLAs, Officials.

The objective of these courts should be to dispense Public woes either on the spot, or later at Dehradun. In the latter case, all the groundwork, like attestation, verification, for the cases can be done at Gairsain.

If the Government takes the initiative next year, then websites like UttarakhandPortal will try to promote the event, with best of their ability, to people in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Almora, Pauri and other Hilly areas. It feels bad, when these people have to travel hundreds of kilometers for simplest of paperwork.
