BSNL Uttarakhand starts three new plans – W-Max, Fiber To Home and 3G subscription
BSNL Uttarakhand has started three new plans – W-Max, Fiber To Home and 3G subscription.
WiMax: In order to give Uttarakhand people high speed and high technology wireless internet service, BSNL is bringing a new WiMax service. The service which will initially be rolled out in urban areas only; is capable of giving a user internet speeds in the range of 512 Kbps to 7Mbps.
Price:
For Non-business users the service will be available for Rs 750 per month. Business users will have to shell out Rs 1999 per month for the service. The service will be available in both Pre and Post paid options.
Pre-Paid customers will get 1GB upload/download limit for Rs 250.
Hardware needed:
To use this WiMax service, a user can choose from three types of modems: Out Door, In-Door and Dongle. The hardware will be available in both, one time downright payment and installments added to the billing.
The modems will be available EITHER at downright payments in the range of Rs 2500 and Rs4500; OR by paying 50 percent of the price in the beginning and the modem rent of Rs 40 per month.
Fiber to Home Service:
The new Fiber To Home service in Uttarakhand will be based on Optical Fiber Cable (means internet service will reach the customer via Optical fiber cable laid under the ground).
Price: For this service a customer will have to pay installation charges in the range of Rs 1500 and 2000 . The ONT modem required for the service will be provided at a monthly rent of Rs 100. If a customer pays for 6-months of service at the time of registration, then he/she gets a 50 percent rebate in the installation charges. Those customers, who opt for One year service at the time of registration, will get a 100 Percent rebate in the installation charges.
New BSNL 3G Subscription Plan in Uttarakhand:
In order to make accessing the mobile 3G TV easier for Uttarakhand customers, the BSNL Uttarakhand has started a new 3G subscription Plan.
Price:
The 3G subscription, aimed at Mobile TV, are as follows:
Rs 25 for 15 minutes, with a validity of a week.
Rs 45 for 30 minutes, with a validity of a week.
Rs 60 for 60 minutes, with a validity of 15 Days.
