Graphic Era University invites candidates for Faculty Development Program on R&D Innovation in Biotechnology

The Graphic Era University, 566/6, Bell Road, Clement Town, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India -248002 and Uttarakhand State Biotechnology Department have invited interested and eligible candidates for its Faculty Development Program on R & D Innovation, titled "Novel Research Ideas in Biotechnology" (NRIB). The workshop will take place on December 23-24, 2011.

NRIB aims to provide an opportunity to young and talented researchers of Uttarakhand to develop novel research ideas in the field of Biotechnology. To inculcate excellent research project writing skills in faculties already engaged in research and help them to develop/formulate innovative potential ideas for need based R&D Projects. The program also aims to update faculties on recent advances in the field of Biotechnology and its application/ extension.

Eligibility: Permanent faculties of various institutions in Uttarakhand with a minimum of 2 years of teaching/research experience after Ph.D.

Registration Fee: Registration fee of Rs. 500/- (Cash/Draft in favour ). Participants will be paid TA as per Govt. of Uttarakhand Rules and Boarding and Lodging will be provided free.

Scope/ Research Areas of the Workshop: Biodiversity Conservation, Bio processing, Drug Development, Delivery and Therapeutics, Monoclonal Antibody Development, DNA Barcoding, Microarray, rDNA, Hybrid/Transgenic/High Yield Crops, Ecology, Herbal Products, Biosensor, Bioinformatics, Biocomputing, Microbiology/virology, Nano-Biotechnology.

Last Date of registration: 5 December 2011

NOTE: Mandatory for every participant to prepare a research proposal (as per USBD format) and its 20 minutes power point presentation. The proposal may be modified for the financial support based on the presentation and discussion with a panel of experts during the Workshop.
