Uttarakhnd Public Service Commission (UKPSC), Singh Dwar, Kankhal, Haridwar has released the notification for the Uttarakhand Forest Officer Recruitment 2012.

Name of Post(s): Forest Officer or Van Chetradhikari

Number of vacancies: 60

Age limit: 21 to 35 as on 1st July 2012

Minimum Educational Qualifications: Must be a Graduate from any recognized University with at least one of the following subjects; Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science/Computer Application, various related disciplines of Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Geology, Math, Physic, Statistics, Veterinary Sciences and other subjects.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates can apply via an OMR Application form available at various designated Post Offices of the Uttarakhand. The cost of OMR application form Rs. 220 (for Gen/OBC/Dependents of Uttarakhand movement) and Rs. 130 (for SC/ST/PH)

Mode of Selection: Three stage process that includes prelims, mains, and finally the interview.

Scheme/pattern of the Preliminary Exam of Uttarakhand Forest Officer Recruitment 2012: An objective type question Paper of 150 marks to be solved in 2 hours duration. The paper will consist of General Studies (100 marks) and General Aptitude (50 marks).

    The examination pattern could be like Indian Forest Service Examination. Though a bit easier.
