BJP’s Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, the Queen of Tehri dynasty, has won the Tehri Lok Sabha bypoll (necessitated after the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna resigned from it following his victory from Sitarganj Assembly constituency) defeating Congress’s Saket Bahuguna, with a margin of 22431 votes.

BJP candidate got a total of 24,52,92 votes while the Congress candidate secured 22,28,61 votes.
