Correspondence BTC candidates in Uttarakhand Appointment stayed by High Court.

In a sort of set back to the Correspondence BTC candidates in Uttarakhand, the Honorable Nainital High Court has stayed(put on hold) the Uttarakhand Government's order issued on November 11 2011, regarding the recritment of Two year Correspondence BTC candidates.

The HC has asked the Uttarakhand Government to file its reply within four weeks.

The stay has been imposed by Justice V K Bisht in response to the petition filed by Rajesh Chandra Pandey and others. In their petition, the petitioner have asserted that Since Correspondence BTC Training doesn't have the NCTE recognition; hence Correspondence BTC candidates in Uttarakhand cannot teach in Primary schools.

The petitioners further asserted that, in the absence of NCTE recognition, it's wrong to give direct appointment to Correspondence BTC candidates in Uttarakhand, even when they have TET.
