20 Hundred Watt Bulbs, 4 Loudspeakers... Shrimad Bhagvat Katha

You would be thinking, what 20 Hundred Watt Bulbs, 4 Loudspeakers have to do with Shrimad Bhagvat Katha.

The Link is:

In a 7 day long Shrimad Bhagvat Katha taking place near my residence: 20 Hundred Watt Bulbs, 4 Loudspeakers and all the musical instruments of the Vyas ji are running 18 hours a day from the last six days... on the stolen electricity. The organizers have put anchor wires (in Hindi means 'Langar') on the electricity lines in the street.

Interestingly, the day the Katha started, the Katha Vachak or Vyas ji, took a round of the venue and standing near the 'Langar se uparjit bijli vyavastha' said "achhi vyavastha ki hai".

Ironically, during his discourses every day, vyas ji preaches long lessons on the need of morality.

You would be thinking, why I'm not doing anything. The answer is simple: If a group of people indulge in dishonesty, the phenomenon is more sociological than legal. Those who see it from the legal perspective, should see it from a moral question: Why the organizers and the Katha Vachak fail to see anything wrong in stealing electricity?

I know, most public functions in our society use stolen electricity. But the question is ... Why?

Is it the same country which rallies around Anna for the fight against corruption?
