Amazing People in Uttarakhand: Malika Virdi, a woman who changed lives of women in remote Munsyari, Pithoragarh
A former mountaineer, Malika Virdi, made Munsyari, a village in the remote region of Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district, her home, and brought changes to the life of people there, especially women, in countless ways.
Among countless ways in which Malika brought a positivism to the lives of these hill women, which include empowering the homely village women economically, she also worked endlessly to protect them from domestic violence.
