Where Uttarakhand stands wrt Literacy among northern Indians states: Census
Uttarakhand is the second least literate state, after Jammu & Kashmir, among northern states of India, according to the latest census report.
Below is the list of Northern states in India, ranked in terms of literacy rate:
1. Delhi (86.34 percent)
2. Himachal Pradesh (83.78 percent)
3. Punjab (76.68 percent)
4. Haryana (76.64 percent)
5. Uttarakhand (79.63 percent)
6. Jammu and Kashmir (68 percent)
